Biography

Dana is home from college and bored, so Craig shows her this creepy abandoned house. They decide to make up this ghost story concerning Mordechai Murdoch, because they thought it would be funny. They take some of Dana's theology textbooks, and some from albums, and spray all these symbols on the floor and walls. Dana strings herself up, and Craig brings James, another guy, and a girl to the house. It is funny - they are totally freaked!

One day, into the record shop comes these two guys, named Dean and Sam, who are reporters with the Dallas Morning News. They ask him questions concerning Hell House, so he feeds them the same story he's been feeding everyone else. He swears he heard it from Dana, and that the girl was real. He also doesn't want to go anywhere near the house ever again. They leave.

His story gets told to people, who gets told to more people, and it eventually gets told to these two guys who put it on their website. Craig thinks this is great - until a girl actually dies in the house, exactly like the story - strung up. This upsets him, but he doesn't know what to do.

Dean and Sam show back up in the shop. Dean figured out that Craig had painted the Blue Oyster Cult logo on the wall, and demands the truth. Craig comes clean, explaining how the whole thing was supposed to be a joke, and how the story spread, then was put on the internet, and now the girl's dead. He states it is a joke, the whole thing is made up. Dean and Sam leave.
