David Wright is an activist who is against Rev. Roy LeGrange's congregation. He does not believe Roy can heal, and he is outside each service to try to dissuade members from going in. |

The first time the Winchester brothers show up, the sheriff escorts David off the premises when he claims that Roy LeGrange is milking the people out of their money. It is assumed he is there protesting when the emphysema man is healed.
The second service the Winchester brothers show up for David is handing out leaflets in his protest. Both Dean and Sam take the papers, telling him to keep up the good work. Later Sam comes racing out to the parking lot where David is, to try to save him from the reaper. David sees him, and screams for help when Sam shows up. They keep ahead of the reaper, until Dean calls to say he cancelled the service, but the reaper is immediately there, taking David's life. Dean realizes it's Sue Ann controlling the reaper, and he hangs up to go stop her. The reaper stops taking David's life, and disappears. Sam helps him up.
Sue Ann LeGrange was going to trade David's life for Layla's, before Dean stopped her.
