Biography

Lori is getting ready for her date with Rich, and her roommate Taylor fixes her up with a sexy top. On her date, after Rich tries to make out with her and she at first goes along, but then tells him “No”. He doesn’t stop, and when he tries again, she pushes him away. They hear a noise, and Rich steps out of the car to investigate. The back window cracks and the wheel is punctured, but Rich has disappeared. After locking herself in, Lori becomes so terrified when there is a noise on the roof she yells at it to stop. When it does, she makes a break to get away, only when she looks back she sees Rich hanging upside down, bleeding, dead.

Lori sees Sam and Dean for the first time when they crash Rich’s funeral at her father's church of St. Barnabas. After the service Taylor tries to talk her into a party, but Lori turns it down. Sam and Dean meet her, and Sam talks with Lori. She told him what had happened with Rich.

Later that night, when Reverend Sorensen drops Lori back off at college, they have a fight. He worries about all the partying at the sorority, but she tells him she’s 18 and grown. When Lori returns back to her dorm, she notices her roommate asleep, and doesn't turn the lights on. After getting dressed in the bathroom, she crawls into bed.

In the morning Lori discovers Taylor, lying dead in her bed. There is a message in blood on the wall - “Aren't you glad you didn't turn on the light?" Underneath the words is a large cross with four smaller crosses surrounding it, also written in blood. Lori screams. Later she is questioned by the police, as she is now involved with two murders, and she notices Sam and Dean drive by. Her father takes her home after the questioning.

That night Lori confronts her father about having a condom in the laundry, and he admits that he is having an affair. After the fight, she comes out of her house and sits beside Sam, who had been lurking about watching the house. He admits to keeping an eye on her, that he is worrying about her. They talk, as Lori shares that she thinks she’s cursed because people keep dying around her. Sam tells her he knows how she feels. She explains her frustration with her father’s affair, and then leans into Sam for comfort. They share a few kisses, before Sam pulls back. She realizes the person he’s lost was his girlfriend, and is sorry for him. Her dad comes to the door, calling her inside after he sees her kissing, and she becomes angry with him. Suddenly the Hook Man attacks her dad, grabbing him and slamming the door shut. Lori is frightened, but Sam immediately grabs a gun and runs into the house. When she hears gunshots she runs in and upstairs, calling for her dad. Falling to her knees, she tearfully tries to reassure her dad that everything is okay.

The next day the sheriff questions Sam, and then Lori, at the hospital. She stays with her dad all day, only heading back to the church at night to pray for forgiveness.

Lori feels guilty and that she’s to blame, that an avenging angel has been sent because she wanted her father punished, and Rich and Taylor punished too. She wishes punishment on herself, and the Hook Man shows up. Sam grabs Lori and they run, trying to outrun it. At one point the Hook Man tries to grab Lori, but Sam pushes her out of the way and the silver hook slices into his left forearm, as an invisible force pulls her along the hallway. Sam runs back to her, only the Hook Man throws him into a bookcase. Dean shows up with a shotgun, dispersing the Hook Man briefly. The boys look around for silver, when Sam notices Lori’s necklace that her father gave her. It is an heirloom from the church. Sam grabs it off of her neck, snapping the clasp, before tossing it to Dean. In exchange, Dean tosses the gun and shotgun shells to Sam before racing out of the room. Sam shoots the spirit, and then reloads. However, the Hook Man reappears and knocks the gun out of Sam’s hands. They back into the corner, trying to cower back when the Hook Man’s silver hook melts down and he burns into ash in front of them.

The next day Lori makes sure to thank Sam for saving her and her father, before he and Dean leave town.
