Luis shows up to scare Sam Winchester with his costume, but Sam is not startled. Luis rags on Sam on not wearing a costume, saying Sam wouldn’t get any popcorn balls from his house, but Sam claims he’s not a fan of Halloween. Luis is surprised to hear this, calling Sam a Communist.
Luis is drinking at the Halloween party to Sam Winchester’s great LSAT score. They talk about Sam’s interview at Stanford on Monday; Sam’s hoping to get a full ride next year. Luis wonders what it feels like to be the golden boy of Sam’s family, but Sam admits that his family doesn’t know. Luis heads over to the bar for more shots.
Presumably he heard about Jessica’s death in the fire, and attended her funeral. Also assumed he said goodbye to Sam when he left with his brother Dean to clear his head after Jessica’s funeral.
