Cyrus Dorian, with his black truck, took out his anger on losing Audrey by taking and killing black folk in April 1963. After Martin eloped with Audrey, the black truck came for him. Cyrus started to beat him with a baseball bat, but Martin got lose and grabbed the bat. He began to beat Cyrus with it, eventually hitting him across the head and killing him. He called his friends, Clayton Soames and Jimmy Anderson, and the three of them stuffed Cyrus’ body in his truck and pushed it into the swamp.
In May 2006, Martin saw a black truck coming for him again. It would appear and disappear, and he knew it was Cyrus’ black truck from forty years previously, telling his wife Audrey. One night, it hits him a couple of times, before appearing in front of him. Turning around, Martin tries to outrun it, but it hits him hard enough to overturn on the side of the road, killing him.
