After a week of Evan telling his story to the local police, two state troopers show up asking Evan to repeat it again. Mrs. McKay doesn't really want him to repeat it yet again, for each time he tells it he believes it more. They insist that it's a matter for the state police, so Evan tells them exactly what he saw and heard, and that it sounded like a monster. His mom tells him to explain what he was watching on TV, which was Godzilla vs. Mothra, and the one trooper talks with him about it, claiming his partner likes the remake. The partner asks if Evan saw what it was, but he didn't - only that it pulled Mr. Jenkins under the car. Then the really scary sound, like a whining growl, as the monster left. They thanked him for his time, and left.
