A rawhead is a type of boogeyman that lurks in basements and preys upon children.

The rawhead had two children trapped in the basement with it - a boy and a girl. Two hunters came down to rescue the children, and the rawhead grabbed Sam's leg as he tries to run up the steps, causing him to fall. Dean tries to fire a taser at it, and misses. The rawhead pops up and pushes Dean back, getting the surprise on him. However, Dean manages to scramble across the puddled floor to grab the taser, and fire it at the rawhead, electrocuting it.
Rawheads prefers to prey upon human children. Rawheads are hairy, ragged-looking humanoids with leathery skin. Their hands and feet are clawed. Upon death, their bodies are rendered into mounds of gooey viscera.
