On Friday April 14, 2006, Pauly and Steve were driving through southern Indiana on a road trip, just passing through Burkitsville when the man pumping gas notices their brake line was leaking fluid. The mechanic would fix it for them, and it would be ready by sundown. Being near supper, they go into Scotty's Cafe to eat. While there a young man comes in and makes them uncomfortable, saying the roads were not safe after dark and they might be in danger. The sheriff comes in and deals with the stranger, allowing them to eat in peace.
However, right after they start driving again, the car breaks down. They are walking through an orchard to get help when it quickly becomes terrifying. There's strange sounds, before a scary looking scarecrow comes out, walking towards them. They turn and start running, but the scarecrow is keeping up with them. Suddenly, right in front of them, is the stranger from the cafe, with a gun. He tells them to go back to their car. They take off running again, hearing the gun blasts behind them as the stranger is running as well. They reach the stranger's car, and turn around. He stands between them and the scarecrow, but it has disappeared. Steve asks, "What the hell was that?" but the response is, "Don't ask".
