It’s rather a warm day, working at the construction site of Oasis Plains, Oklahoma for Oklahoma Gas and Power on March 20, 2006. Travis Wheeler is talking about how good these houses they are building, but Dustin Burwash is more concerned over something odd about the ground. Dustin suddenly disappears in a sinkhole. He calls for help, and Travis runs to grab some rope. Dustin calls several more times, each time more panicky, while Travis keeps calling back to reassure Dustin that he is coming. When Travis returns with a rope, he only finds a bloody and dead Dustin.
At headquarters, two young men approach Travis on March 23, claiming they were Dustin’s nephews, Dean and Sam. Dustin hadn’t mentioned nephews to Travis, but the shorter one claimed Dustin talked about Travis to them. They wanted to know how Uncle Dustin had died, and Travis relayed the story. It sounded as if they didn’t quite believe the disease theory the doctor had said, but what else could it be?
