The demon enters into the truck driver, then purposefully aims his truck into the side of the Impala, totaling the car in Devil's Trap, to try to kill the Winchesters. All three Winchesters are knocked out as the truck driver just sits.
In My Time of Dying, the truck driver climbs out, and walks around the tail end of the crumpled Impala, heading for the driver's side. He pulls the driver's door off its hinges to find Sam is aiming the Colt directly at him. Sam tells him to back off, but the demon knows he's saving the bullet for someone else. Sam cocks the gun, daring him to bet, before the demon pours out of the trucker. He comes to, and is shocked that he wrecked their car. It is most probable that he calls for the paramedics for the Winchesters.
