Alex has to go on another one of his work trips, kissing his wife Lindsay goodbye before he leaves. He promises to be home tomorrow night, but the client ends up canceling and he arrives home a night early. He tried calling, but she never answered. He doesn’t find Lindsay, and freaks out when he sees blood on the wall. He runs back to the bedroom, where he is shocked to see her beaten and bloody, tied up in a chair. When he unties her, she begs him not to hurt her anymore, and leave her alone. He’s confused, and goes to check on a noise in another part of the house, only to come face to face with a shapeshifter in Alex’s form. The shapeshifter’s eyes flash silver, before he hits Alex with a baseball bat.
In the morning, after the police arrive, they arrest Alex for trying to kill Lindsay.
