When Alex, her husband, leaves on one of his business trips, she kisses him goodbye after he promises to make it up to her. Lindsay is therefore surprised when he shows up mid-afternoon, knocking on the door because he doesn’t have a key. Once inside, Alex seems to go nuts, tying her up in a chair and beating her bloody before leaving the room. That night, strangely, she hears him calling her, before walking into the bedroom. He acts shocked that she is hurt. He tries to untie her, and when she can speak she begs him not to hurt her anymore, for she is terrified of him now. Alex is taken aback by this, before hearing a noise and leaving her in the room. Later on the police show up and arrest Alex.
