Isaiah Merchant was a barber who adopted a daughter when she was orphaned. After he was killed, his spirit was trapped inside the family portrait. He tried to warn others of Melanie. Three families were killed, until the painting was put in storage. It was sold in either June or July 2006 to the Telescas. |

Isaiah watches Melanie while the Telescas flirt and get ready for bed. He looks over at Mark locking up the doors, and follows Ann with his eyes as she ascends the staircase. However, Melanie escapes the painting and heads upstairs to kill them.
The painting is cut from it's frame and burned, only it reforms back in the frame once more.
The painting is sold to Evelyn, and shipped and hung in the lounge. Isaiah watches Evelyn, as Melanie kills her. Later two young men come racing in with a young lady, as Isaiah looks down at Melanie. When Evelyn's slashed throat is exposed, he is staring straight ahead.
The next day the young people are back, and recognize the mausoleum in the painting in the painting that Isaiah had changed. They also recognize that the razor is open, the one that Melanie uses. He has hopes that Melanie will be stopped.
His spirit is banished that night, by a salt and burn of his bones by Dean, Sam, and Sarah Blake.
